Kinbinder Support

Help for people keeping track of a parent's health

Write in English or Chinese. We usually reply within two business days.

If something is wrong with a medical record, tell us what you saw and what you expected. Screenshots help. Please don't send photos of real lab reports — describe the problem instead.

Getting started

How do I add a report?

Open a family member, tap Reports, then +. Three ways in:

You can also send a report to Kinbinder from Mail, Files or Messages: tap the share button there and choose Kinbinder.

Why do I have to review what the AI extracted?

Because a wrong number in a medical record is worse than no number. Extracted values are never saved automatically — you check each one against the original image, and only then do they count toward trends and the visit sheet. The original scan is kept permanently, so extraction can be redone at any time.

The AI read a value incorrectly. What do I do?

On the review screen, tap any row to correct the value, unit, reference range or flag. You can also delete a row by swiping. If a whole report was read badly, open it and choose Re-extract from the ••• menu.

Records and trends

Two reports show the same test twice instead of one trend

Different labs print the same test under different names. Kinbinder merges the ones it recognizes, but a lab may use wording we haven't seen. Email us the two names exactly as printed and we'll add them.

Why should I add a note to a report?

Because the same number can mean opposite things. A TSH of 4.26 after a month off medication is a different conversation than a TSH of 4.26 on a steady dose. Notes appear on the visit sheet you hand your doctor, and they are part of what the AI reads when explaining a result.

My family member's reminder keeps going off after they stopped the medication

Open Reminders, swipe the reminder and choose Pause, or delete it. Reminders created together with a medication are also removed when you delete that medication.

How does "mark complete" work for a daily reminder?

Tapping the circle records that today's dose is done. Tomorrow's reminder still fires. To stop a repeating reminder for good, swipe it and choose Pause.

Your data

Is my family's health data uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything is stored on your iPhone. The only time anything leaves the device is when you tap an AI button, and even then the result is not stored by us. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

Does Kinbinder work without internet?

Yes, apart from the AI features. Recording, scanning, the visit sheet, the emergency sheet, reminders and export all work offline.

I'm getting a new phone. How do I move everything?

Go to Me → Back up and export and create a backup file, then save it somewhere you can reach from the new phone (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop). On the new phone, install Kinbinder and import that file. Original scans travel with the backup.

If you restore your new iPhone from an iPhone backup, Kinbinder's data comes across automatically.

Will clearing storage or cache delete my records?

No. Kinbinder's records and original files are stored in the part of the app's storage that iOS never purges automatically and that is included in iPhone backups. Offloading the app keeps your data; deleting the app removes it.

How do I delete one person's data?

Open that family member, tap ••• and choose Delete profile. Kinbinder lists exactly what will be destroyed — medications, reminders, measurements, history, visits, scans — before you confirm. It cannot be undone, so export first if you might want it back.

About Kinbinder

Is this medical advice?

No. Kinbinder organizes medical records so you can bring a clear one-page summary to an appointment. It does not diagnose, does not recommend doses, and deliberately does not tell you whether something is urgent. For any care decision, rely on the original documents and your clinician.

Can I use it for myself, not just a parent?

Yes. Add yourself as a family member.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet.
